For both Fordham Business Online programs, applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited college or university. View each program’s application requirements below:

MS IN MANAGEMENT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Master of Science in Management program from Fordham Business Online does not require applicants to have prior business education. When students begin the program, they must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university.

TRANSCRIPTS

Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded to the online application for the purposes of application review, and, if you are accepted to the program, official transcripts are required to begin your first term.

Many schools issue transcripts electronically. If this option is available through the institutions you attended, have your transcript(s) sent to appsvcs@onlinebusiness.fordham.edu. To mail transcripts, request that your sealed, official transcripts be sent directly to:

Students who have completed a degree outside of the United States are required to submit official transcripts as well as a third-party evaluation of their academic credentials. Academic credential evaluations are accepted from any National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) recommended service provider. Exceptions are made for institutions in Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the U.K.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

Two letters are required from professional or academic references familiar with your professional history and who can assess your suitability for graduate business studies. Of the two required letters, at least one should come from a supervisor familiar with your professional experience.

ESSAYS

Two essays are required, and a third essay is optional. The essay prompts are available in the online application.

INTERVIEW

After you have submitted your application, you will be contacted by an admissions counselor to schedule a personal interview, to be conducted online.

APPLICATION FEE

The application fee for Gabelli School graduate programs is $130. It is nonrefundable.

OFFICIAL TEST SCORES

GMAT or GRE scores are required for students with an undergraduate GPA of 2.99 or below who have zero to two years of full-time work experience.

You can receive a waiver for the GMAT/GRE score requirement if you

  • have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher and zero to two years of full-time work experience or
  • have an undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher and three or more years of full-time work experience.

Official scores from a test within five years of the date of your application must be submitted to the University by the start of your first term, or a hold will be placed on your account.

All applicants whose native language is not English and who did not attend an undergraduate institution in a country where the official language is English must submit an original TOEFL or IELTS test score report.

MS IN STRATEGIC MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Master of Science in Strategic Marketing Communications applicants are required to have at least three years of demonstrated full-time professional experience in the media, entertainment, advertising, marketing, or public relations fields. They must also hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university.
