MS IN STRATEGIC MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Master of Science in Strategic Marketing Communications applicants are required to have at least three years of demonstrated full-time professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, media, or a related field. They must also hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

RÉSUMÉ
Submit a current, detailed résumé that includes your professional work experience (full-time, internship, etc.), academic background, and any volunteer experiences.
TRANSCRIPTS
Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded to start the application review process. Upon admission, you will be required to submit official transcripts.
Many schools issue transcripts electronically. If this option is available through the institutions you attended, have your transcript(s) sent to appsvcs@onlinebusiness.fordham.edu. Students who have completed a degree outside of the United States are required to submit official transcripts as well as a third-party evaluation of their academic credentials. Academic credential evaluations are accepted from any National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) recommended service provider. Exceptions are made for institutions in Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the U.K.
Please note: To be considered an official transcript, the transcript must be sent directly from your institution(s) or through an electronic transcript vendor retained by that institution. Transcripts submitted by enrolled or prospective students are considered unofficial documents, even if they are in a sealed envelope provided to you by the issuing university.
TRANSLATION
Application materials in a language other than English, such as university transcripts and letters of recommendation, must be accompanied by a certified translation. Applicants can use any accredited translation service.
ESSAYS
Two essays are required and a third essay is optional. The essay prompts are available in the online application.
INTERVIEW
After you have submitted your application, an admissions officer will contact you to schedule the required online admissions interview.
APPLICATION FEE
There is a $175 nonrefundable application fee for all Gabelli School graduate programs.
You can receive an application fee waiver if you meet any of the following requirements:
- You attend a webinar.
- You submit your application by the priority application deadline.
- You are a current or former member of the U.S. military.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
One letter from a professional reference is required. This letter should come from a supervisor who is familiar with your professional history and can assess your suitability for graduate business studies.
OFFICIAL TEST SCORES
No GMAT or GRE scores are required to apply.
All applicants whose native language is not English and who did not attend an undergraduate institution in a country where the official language is English must submit an original TOEFL or IELTS test score report.
